Back in Business
It's been a good three years since I've stopped penning down my thoughts in the form of pseudo poetry. That was also the time where I noticed that my students have gradually found my blog and thus decided to abandon this ship altogether.
Today though, I've decided to come back to my paltry blog - to try my hand again at documenting what I've been reading. I've recently been inspired to ensure that I stick to my one true love - reading. To read is to grow - emotionally and mentally.
Admittedly, I don't read a whole lot of different genres, though I must confess that I should - one of the difficult hurdles to cross when you are a fully-grown adult - where pressures and expectations are upon you. I am trying though.
Of course, like all things that do not last, I am not expecting this passion to be fervent, never to be extinguished. With work piling up at times, it will be no wonder if the hiatus takes place again. But still, this is an attempt to spread awareness of good reads to my students who unexpectedly stumble upon this page, or perhaps a stranger or two who unknowingly crashes in.
Riding on the wave of social media platforms, I will brave the difficulties of maintaining another instagram account for short reviews, and this blog for longer ones.
